Our past weekend guests included a special couple who stayed in our Northwoods Suite for their "Valentine" getaway. Joe made his reservation while he was deployed in Irag as a military soldier because he wanted to take Logan for a special getaway for Valentine's Day.
They enjoyed skiing at Spirit Mountain on Saturday and had dinner at the revolving restaurant on the top floor of the Radisson hotel in Duluth. They enjoyed the homemade cookies from the jar in the butler's pantry.
But it was the review that he wrote in the Northwoods journal that brought us to our knees.
"Jim and Joy
Thanks for everything. The Firelight Inn gave me a very peaceful and relaxing feeling that I haven't felt in a long time. Places like this and people like you two make fighting for this country worth it. You've added a special touch to Logan's and my Valentine's weekend. We had an amazing time and hope to come back another day.
Thanks for everything.

We feel so blessed to greet special people at The Firelight Inn Duluth bed and breakfast that come into our lives for a reason. And we believe that we are here for people to make a difference in their lives even if it is just to relax and enjoy. Thank you Joe for making that difference to us! We will continue to do what we love and serve others.
